I recently rented a Chrysler 300c. I don’t like this car. What is the fascination with it? I admit the overall outside design is a great improvement over it’s brothers and sisters. What’s amazing is the lack of detail and craftsmanship. I guess these things aren’t important to the target demographic. It should be. This could be a great car.
What I didn’t like about this car is…
1. The instrument cluster looks as if it’s using the same display technology from the 80′s. Digital calculator fonts in green?! Ugh. I thought it as 2008? Cell phones have a better user interface. Can we get an update!
2. The acceleration is way too smooth. It feels the transmission is working to remove the jerky feel of shifting. I linda like the feeling. My body expects it.
3. Feels like a boat from the inside. I have been in many big cars but this is unnecessarily big feeling.
4. The steering wheel feels of cheap plastic. Like a kids toy. They could at least make it leather or something your hands feel natural around. As for the other interior material, it all feels the same way. Cheap and stiff.
That’s all for now. Other than that it’s an OK car. I guess it’s made to give the average man a feeling of luxury. I blogged about this before but this time I actually drove one.
Next review is something German
stay tuned!
